Apologies for the lack of posts at the mo ... to be honest should be doing something much more productive than this now. Today is the day I am getting the keys to my new house and I am therefore off work. Anyway grabbed five mins just to refresh the countdown.

Some of you already know this, some of you won't. I come from the second city in England Birmingham. It's vastly underated you know. In magazines it's always Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds and the like that get mentioned for good nights out and this vexes me a tad. (I can only vouch for Liverpool as it's the only one of those I've been to, but I will add that I did have a fantastic night out there and that the shops were great. Anyway, back to the matter in hand.

Birmingham is fab.

1) We have great shops, particularly now we have
The Bull Ring It's got a Selfridges y'know and is a fantastic place to shop. The rest of the city centre has good shops too.
2) We have more canals than Venice (or something like that) and canalside bars are always pleasent
3) The night life is good ... something for everyone. But getting a taxi home can be a bit of a nightmare.
4) We've got a sealife centre!
5) It's home to ...

Loads of celebs come from Brum as well Cat Deely, Jasper Carrot, Ozzy Osborne, Ocean Colour Scene, UB40, Cal Cooper of Worlds Apart to name but a few.

The area I live in kind of borders on Birmingham and The Black Country
(which have totally different accents - don't mix 'em up ok?). I am lucky enough to have these claims to fame (Ahem). Are you ready?

and I went to the college where
used to teach. My ex boyfriend's mum was a good friend of his and I know someone who once snogged him.

Seven weeks ago today I went to look at a house, put an offer in and had it accepted , all in the space of an hour. Today I have had a letter from the Solicitors telling me all the searches are complete! I know the vendor wants to move in two weeks time, so it looks as though I will have keys and everything very soon! I can't wait ... looking forward to having a place to myself and making it feel like mine.

Will add that I am slightly nervous at the same time, and the thought of the money I will be using each month disturbs me a little too, but on the whole I am excited!!

Well it's wednesday and I feel wrong. Surely it's only Tuesday, been back at work for two days... it must be ? Nope it's wednesday and I am totally confused! I'm tired though, which makes it being wednesday a good thing as it's a whole day closer to Friday and the weekend!

Wednesdays frequently mean karaoke at bar Rumba with the lovely Laura. Yes, just in case you don't know I like a good old sing. But tonight Joey (a.k.a Absynth Fairie) her neices and our mate Adam are off to See Britney Spears in concert at the N.E.C ... pah! This means that I am staying in, doing some planning for school and being a domesticated goddess with the iron. Tee hee! Oh well I'm sure I will have nearly as much fun as they do when they erm ... Ok maybe not but I've got to do it all anyway. I'm looking forward to hear what they've got to say about this concert and the lovely Ms Spears. Should be very interesting indeed!

So I guess I should stop rabbitting on here and crack on with the work - the sooner I get it done, the sooner I can play again. Yay!

Right then ... hello and welcome to the world of Pheebs. Pheebs, just in case you don't know, is not my real name but a persona I adopted years ago. I do not have multiple personalities, nor do I think I resemble Lisa Kudrow. She looks like this ...

I think I started calling myself Phoebe because of my love of Friends which has dwindled over the years. I abbreviated it to Pheebs and thats kind of stuck.

I'm 25, a teacher,single, I love my family, Darius Danesh (in an I want to marry him and have his babies kind of way),Ant and Dec ( in an I wish they were my mates kind of way) singing, chocolate - especially cadburys, Bagpuss, PJ, e-bay, Harry Potter, listening to music, musicals, Girls Aloud, Will Young ( in an I'm vexed that the tickets for his concert sold out so quickly kind of way), watching films but not Pearl Harbor which is on right now and is pants and nostalgia.

I hate the root of all evil (whatever it is) and periods (why damn it why?), I don't like small animals that move too quickly and fickle people. I still don't really know what I'm doing with this ... but am hoping that I will get to grips with it very soon ... until the next time.

I have perhaps made a big mistake. I know nothing about h.t.m.l ... I mean nothing. I have not got a sodding clue what I am doing. I don't know how to get squawk box to work. I really don't know.

No what I will do instead is create a tag board ... then at least people can leave me messages and perhaps someone will explain what I'm doing wrong with the other thing.

Well ... it's a bank holiday monday. I'm in the house doing not much else and it seemed like a good opportunity to jump on the band wagon and ahem create my own blog.
